President and Founder of Women’s Brain Health Initiative Appointed as a Member of The Order of Canada

by Women’s Brain Health Initiative:

We are extremely excited to share that our President and Founder Lynn Posluns has been appointed as a member of the Order of Canada, one of the country’s highest civilian honours. Lynn has been awarded this for her “contribution to research on cognitive health and aging through the founding of Women’s Brain Health Initiative”.

Lynn founded this charity almost ten years ago after discovering that women are more affected by brain aging diseases but most of the research focuses on men.  Women’s Brain Health Initiative is the only organization dedicated to protecting the brain health of women.

With Lynn’s inspiring leadership, the initiative has evolved into an international foundation that funds research with a focus on prevention and education, inspiring global leaders to join the cause, and providing the public of all ages with information, tools, and activities to remain cognitively healthy throughout their lives.

Presented by the Governor General of Canada the Order of Canada recognizes outstanding achievement, dedication to the community, and service to the nation.

Lynn joins a list of highly esteemed and accomplished Canadians who have been appointed as members to the Order of Canada.  For more information, please see this release by the Governor General’s office. We are so proud of Lynn and so thrilled to share this wonderful news!
